An Abu Dhabi city tour from Dubai is the single best way to add the UAE capital to a Dubai trip without renting a car or working out inter-emirate transport. Abu Dhabi sits about 140 kilometres down the coast — roughly 90 minutes each way — so a well-planned day trip lets you see the Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque, Qasr Al Watan, Emirates Palace and the Corniche and still be back in Dubai by evening. We handle the driving, the route and the timing; you enjoy the landmarks.
We are a Department of Culture and Tourism–licensed operator running daily tours since 2009, rated 4.9 from 1.5M+ guests. Booked direct on WhatsApp, this Abu Dhabi tour from Dubai costs a fraction of the online-platform price, with no prepayment — you confirm in a two-minute chat and pay by cash or card on the day.

How the day from Dubai works
We collect you from your Dubai hotel in the morning and drive the coastal route to Abu Dhabi (about 90 minutes). From there the day follows the classic capital itinerary — the Grand Mosque, Qasr Al Watan, Emirates Palace and the Corniche — with a lunch break and optional Yas Island or Ferrari World in the afternoon, before an evening return to Dubai. Because it is a long day, a private car is popular with families who want to control the pace and rest between stops.

What you’ll see on the tour
The day covers the same landmarks as our in-city tour, guided the whole way. Here are the highlights.
Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque
The first stop after arriving from Dubai is the Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque, one of the world’s largest, finished in white marble with 82 domes, the world’s largest hand-knotted carpet and vast crystal chandeliers. Entry is free and your guide walks you through the courtyards and the story of the UAE’s founding father. A modest dress code applies — abayas are available free at the entrance.
Qasr Al Watan — the Presidential Palace
A short drive away, Qasr Al Watan is a working presidential palace open to visitors since 2019, with a soaring 37-metre dome, a gold-and-crystal Great Hall and the House of Knowledge. It is where the UAE hosts world leaders, and inside with a guide it becomes the intellectual heart of the day. Entry is an optional add-on (AED 65 per person).
Emirates Palace, Etihad Towers & the Corniche
The tour continues to Emirates Palace, the golden-domed landmark on its own kilometre of beachfront, then along the Corniche waterfront opposite the five Etihad Towers. It is the city’s best stretch for photographs, with the Gulf on one side and the skyline on the other.
Waterfront, Heritage Village & the skyline
There is time for the Emirates Heritage Village to see how Emiratis lived before oil, the palm-lined waterfront promenade, and — as the day closes — the modern skyline that glows at dusk before the drive back to Dubai.
Abu Dhabi City Tour from Dubai with Ferrari World
The most-requested upgrade is the Abu Dhabi city tour from Dubai with Ferrari World. We keep the morning sightseeing route and add an afternoon on Yas Island inside Ferrari World Abu Dhabi, home to Formula Rossa — the world’s fastest roller coaster, hitting 240 km/h in under five seconds. It is the ideal culture-plus-adrenaline day trip; we add the entry ticket (AED 345 per person) and extend the return time so you never feel rushed.

Dubai to Abu Dhabi: your transport options compared
There are several ways to get from Dubai to Abu Dhabi, and it helps to know why a guided tour usually wins for a day trip. You can drive a rental car (about 90 minutes each way on the E11), which gives freedom but means navigating unfamiliar roads, Salik and Darb tolls, paid parking at each landmark, and no guide. You can take the public E100/E101 intercity bus from Ibn Battuta or Al Ghubaiba to Abu Dhabi’s central bus station — cheap, but it drops you far from the attractions and leaves you to arrange local taxis all day. A new Etihad Rail passenger link is planned for the future but is not yet the practical option for tourists. Or you take a guided city tour from Dubai, where a driver-guide collects you from your hotel, drives the whole route, handles tolls and parking, and takes you directly between landmarks with commentary along the way. For a single day that actually reaches the Grand Mosque, Qasr Al Watan, Emirates Palace and Yas Island without stress, the guided tour is the most efficient and often the best value once you factor in fuel, tolls, parking and multiple taxis.
