The tent, honestly

- Bedouin-style tents on the quiet edge of the camp — carpeted, with mattresses, pillows, heavy blankets and a lantern.
- Couples get their own tent; families get a family-size tent.
- The shared bathroom block is about 30 metres away, lit all night, with hot water.
- No sockets in the tents — bring a power bank.
This is a traditional camp night under the stars, not glamping. If that sounds like your kind of night, it will be the best sleep of your trip.

Is AED 450 good value?
A couple pays AED 900 for the overnight, against AED 240 for the shared evening safari. The extra AED 660 — AED 330 per person — buys the tent night, the campfire and the stars, the sunrise and breakfast, and it saves you a hotel night in Dubai.
You are not paying for a tent. You are paying for the hours nobody else gets: the desert after the evening buses leave, and the dunes before the morning groups arrive.
Your 16 hours, hour by hour

- 8:00 PM: The shows begin — belly dance, LED Tanoura, fire show and drums.
- Around 21:00: The evening guests leave. Your tent is shown and made up for the night.
- 23:00: Lights out. Campfire, stargazing, sleep under the stars.

What to pack for the night
- A warm layer for October to March nights
- Toothbrush, any medication and your ID
- A power bank — there are no sockets in the tents
- Lip balm and moisturiser; the desert air is dry
- Sunglasses and sunscreen for the morning
- Sandals for the walk to the bathroom block
Leave the suitcase at the hotel — one small bag is all you need.
Is the overnight right for you?

Families — Children under 3 join free, and camp staff are on duty all night. The tents sit together on the camp’s quiet edge.
Pregnancy, back, neck or heart conditions — Skip the dune bashing and take the smooth track straight to camp. Everything else stays the same.
Light sleepers — Bring earplugs. The desert is quiet, but a campfire crackles and the early risers wake for sunrise.
Limited mobility — The walk to the bathroom block is on sand, about 30 metres. Tell us on WhatsApp and we will place your tent closest.
What guests say after their Dubai desert safari
We hold a ★4.9 average across 3,500+ reviews. These are the three things guests mention most often: the driving, the food, and the fact that the price they saw online was exactly the price they paid at the camp.
“The dune bashing driver was superb — thrilling but you always felt safe. We paid AED 50 each for the bus pickup from Deira City Center and honestly expected a catch. There wasn’t one. BBQ dinner was excellent.”
Sarah M. · United Kingdom
“Booked the VIP evening on WhatsApp in the morning, got picked up from Sahara Center in Sharjah the same day. The quad bike and the majlis seating made it feel far more expensive than AED 250. Kids loved the fire show.”
Imran K. · Sharjah
“We drove ourselves to the Al Awir meeting point — AED 35 per person for dune bashing, camel ride, sandboarding and a full dinner show is the best value activity we found in the whole of Dubai.”

Overnight desert safari Dubai — FAQ
How much is the overnight desert safari in Dubai?
AED 450 per person, with a minimum of 2 guests. That covers the full evening safari, a night in a Bedouin-style tent, the campfire and stargazing, sunrise and breakfast. You pay on arrival by cash or card, and cancellation is free up to 24 hours before.
What is the tent like?
Bedouin-style tents on the quiet edge of the camp — carpeted, with mattresses, pillows, heavy blankets and a lantern. Couples get their own tent; families get a family-size tent. It is a traditional camp night under the stars, not glamping — bring a power bank, as there are no sockets in the tents.
Are there bathrooms at the camp?
Yes. The shared bathroom block is about 30 metres from the tents, lit all night, with hot water.
What time does the overnight safari start and end?
Pickup is 15:30–16:30 from Dubai and Sharjah, and you are back 08:00–08:30 the next morning — about 16 hours door to door.
What food is included?
A BBQ buffet dinner with vegetarian and non-vegetarian options, then an Arabic and continental breakfast in the morning — eggs, foul, khubz, fruit, honey and gahwa (Arabic coffee).
Does it get cold in the desert at night?
From December to February, yes — bring a warm jacket. October, November and March need a hoodie. In summer the nights are warm.
Can you see the stars?
Yes. The camp lights go out around 23:00 and the sky over the Al Awir dunes is properly dark. The best stargazing is around the new moon.
What is the difference from the evening safari?
